MACY's Parade blunder: Santa skrewed up big time

Did ya catch the end float at today's MACY's Thanksgiving day parade?

At the very end of the NBC telecast of the parade viewers watch the camera zoom in on a close up of dear old jolly Santa. Santa's lip sink was sloppy sure, but for me the shit hit hit the fan when he shouted out a joyfull "Happy Thanks Giving to one and all!"

What??? "Happy Thanks Giving..."?????? What happened to "Merry Christmas"?

To top it off the cast from the TODAY show singed off with something about comeing from the location where the "Miracle of 34th Street" happened. So a matter of factly, I might add.

Now, apparantly, in politically correct, hypersensative, hypocritical USA, even Santa can say Merry Christmas.

I know, many will say, hey this commercialism at it's best.

America has become so half assed in it's value systems, it is amazing it still thrives.

LIke this Kennedy thing with the Bishop refussing him Communion. If you are Catholic you follow the rules of teh Church. If you disagree you are not Catholic. If you continue going to Catholic masses and call yourself a Catholic while promoting or supporting abortion you are a liar. Plain ans simple. If you are Santa Claus you believe in Christ Jesus of Nazareth. You believe in His birth and you celebrate His birth. One thing you do not do is hide or place a shade over that light of the world. Santa say's "MERRY CHRISTMAS".

One of my little girls saw and heard Santa on TV and turned and asked me why didn't he wish us a merry Christmas. I told her why and she will someday teach her children what it means to be Christian in a greed stricken and toxic secular world. Shame on Macy's. Next year, instead of some zombie Santa, what I suggest is Macy's just place a Bernie Madoff character up on a float that looks like a jail cell. Celebrate the theft of America and all it's holidays, by corporate but sensative greed.

Sad news. Imagine how it will be after January first. The unions made sure their constituancy voted in the puppets in the council they needed in order to control local government affairs and the tax payers will now have to come up with the money to pay for their Quinn Bill, their raises, their overtime, and who knows what else they dream of. Last Tuesday, as the City Council had taken steps to implement the new three-year contract with the union that represents city police officers, they set a tone for what we can all expect for the next two years. Property owners and all city taxpayers, open your wallets. That vacumming sucking sound will only be getting louder.

Only Konnie had the nerve to say NO. Be prepared for two more years of bullshit. I have no faith in the citiznes of Worcester, especially when they do not vote. No one can have any faith in teh city council either. In Worcester, city government is a joke. By virtue of the low voter turnout, it makes it arguable, at best, that city hall is a corrupt stink hole.

Thanks to those greedy pig legislator's mostly republican policy makers. Helping huge corporations to move their production and outsource to China and India, for example. Our unemployment rate is pretty much a way of life for the middle and poor class.

Accept and celebrate Worcester's mediocrity.

I get a kick out of this Paulie guy. He is a fun read. Complaining about Worcester's main south.
Main South does best when the city hallers stay out of trying to control and develop it. Those mom and pop stores and eateries happened on their own, without city hall intervention. In fact the "city" does more to prohibit good moral business than it does to fight crime that it policies indirectly stimulates. Slap all kinds of foolish permits on start ups, drive them out of business, keep doing that and , hello, you got a slum. Paulie and few other local republican centered bloggers, have to accept the fact that Worcester needs a dumping ground, a place to heard the poor. For every rich republican there are 100 poor souls that got kicked and trampled on. Otherwise there would be no wealthy, market priced buyers. Worcester's only niche is that it is a host immigrant city. Get used to it boys. Those with money and talent leave as soon as they figure this city out.

Low Voter Turn Out equals same ol' same ol'

Well, there you have it. I am convinced outside of few maybe 5,000-6,000 voters, the remaining voters are city hall employees or former city hall employees ( including city workers and teachers).
I challenge anyone out thee in this town to prove me wrong.

The unions got their puppets in, the deals with incumbants obviously made. No new candidate came close enough to nab a seat on the council. In fact all the same faces, even the new Mayor is closely tied to Murray and McGovern, so, really, no new blood, just the same good ol't boy club will continue to: NOT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE.

Good Luck Worcester. Pray from some flukie change of heart in some of these "winners". That's the only hope the people have, otherwise the same poison continues to infect downtown and the rest of our neighborhoods.

BTW, city hall doesn't need consensus building it needs frigin courageous LEADERSHIP. The type that would cut city hall administrative staff down 1/4th and stop bending to excessive union demands that we all know can not be paid for without raising taxes.\
